Rowe-Quinn Is Six Years Old

It was my Rowe-Quinn's 6th birthday on the 24th of February. Six years doesn't seem like very many years, but he's a trip.

From this goofy looking bespectacled little 4 month old pup that cried so hard after being neutered you would have thought they were torturing him.
He's been with me through 2 husbands and we're on my 2nd boyfriend now. He's traveled from Texas to Louisiana and back with Sookie, Alissa, Rascal & me. He was a wonderful puppy sitter. Now he's just a little bit grumpy and picks fights with Rascal who can take him and has caused him considerable pain. But Rowe-Quinn is a great dog that endures his bad hips with Glucosamine, fish oil & baby aspirin. We occasionally try homeopathy to help his own body deal with the deteriorating hip bones. And, it mostly helps. He adores his walks and trots peacefully along side me on my bike. He's been a 'talker' since he first came to live with me and that is always a joy. I'm hoping we have quite a number of years together as he definately has MY heart.

I Refuse To Put His Name In Print

But I sincerely hope that the hell he goes to is the hell he put those dogs through.

Cancelled his Oprah appearance, no doubt. I could only speculate & hope that she had a list of serious questions for him in regard to what he did to the dogs of 'said' kennel & dog fighting organization he operated.

He did his time ONLY for the crimes of running that 'organization'... he did no time for animal abuse & cruelty.

You GO to that hell **ck ~ scream and cry for mercy and get none. You deserve purgatory.

**New Doggie Dinner Meat Tryout**

Well, I tried venison with my dogs dinner tonight. It really was quite amusing.

Sookie, of course, scarfed hers up without a pause. The others, not so much.

Rowe-Quinn picked it up, tossed it around in his mouth, then dropped it. He did this a number of times before walking away from it. Sookie ate it up.

Now I'm talking about just a sliver of venison steak. No big chunks just a tidbit.
Sugar wanted it, but she just wanted to lick it. If the others came near her she'd pick it up and go to another spot. In fact, I think, she tried to bury it in her sheet that I put down. Silly girl. Sookie ate it up.

Rascal, wasn't sure he liked the smell, but when I held it for him he quickly let it slide down.

Alissa tried to chomp it some, but pushed it out of her mouth when the taste was too much for her. Sookie ate it up.

This is such a trip ~ perhaps they could tell it was old, freezer burned venison.

I Broke Down

Well, I did it. I broke down and put two boxes with warm cloths inside in case any of the feral cats around my neighborhood need a place to get out of the weather in the coming nights.

I just can't handle the thought of not doing this. That just a little gesture such as this will help make some poor creature just a little safer, warmer. They hang around the carport anyway, why not show them this favor.

Uncharacteristically I turned a neighbor lady away from my door tonight. She's been catching me off guard lately and asking for cigarettes & money. Although I haven't given her any money, well, because I don't have any to spare, I have given her some smokes.

Tonight she brought over a partial bag of bird seed (I love feeding the wild birds) as a token, I guess. I told her no to the cigarettes, I didn't want the bird seed and to go away. Yea, just like that.

Just needed to confess.
